July-September 2017 Practise my traditional skills such as drawing and with the 3D modelling programmes improve my skills before September 2017 when my university starts.

September 2017 My university begins which is a 3 year course in which I continue working on my games art skills.

job roles in the games industry

art director

An art director is the games industry has many responsibilities such as supporting an entire art team and dealing with communication with other big areas of the of a games company when developing ideas. The experience needed to become an art director in the industry is a quality portfolio of work, experience in modelling, 5 years in the games industry as well as experience in developing commercially successful films or games.

Games character artist

A character artist is someone who specialises in developing characters using multiple different elements of industry programming from using 3D to traditional 2D art and is always ready to tackle the difficult and fiddly side of character development. This is the job role that I really would like to get in the industry. To get this job in the industry I will need a decent portfolio of work and to research the job thoroughly since it is not sometimes the job you expect and the interview is usually challenging.

These are my choices on ucas for the courses I have applied for at university.

University comparison

Budget for university

Phone contract- £66 (monthly)
spotify- £10 (monthly)
crunchyroll- £5 (monthly)
Xbox live- £6 (monthly)
Rent- Prepaid
Going out- £30
weekly shop- £60 (essentials) This will be different depending on how much I use or consume through the week.

This is my basic budget plan for when I am at university thankfully under circumstances I will have my rent for my accommodation will be paid in full. Hopefully before I move to uni I will be able to cut down my phone contract considerably. This is just basic though so it will be probably be edited a lot before uni or scrapped.
